Flat Out Wrong August 16, 2006 ~ 3:46 pm
Posted by Julie in : Craftiness Is Next To Godliness, Da Cats, Random Insanity , trackbackI think it has to be wrong that these words:
“Saturday, September 16th I’ll be at the Park Slope Barnes and Noble in Brooklyn at 7:30.
Sunday, September 17th I’m going to the Knit Out in Union Square
(New York, New York ) from 11am to 5pm”
made me jump out of my seat and yell “YES!”. But then again, maybe it’s only natural. I mean, when the Yarn Harlot is not only coming to your city, but to your neighborhood (the Park Slope B&N is two subway stops from my house), you’re bound to get a little excited, aren’t you? And it’s only natural to send out insane emails to everyone you know to inform them of the momentous event that will take place next month, isn’t it? And even if a couple of those emails basically said “I’m going and dragging you with me,” that’s perfectly acceptable, right?
Riiiiiiight.
Stephanie, I know you are booked to the gills so I can’t take you on the same tour I gave Aimee, but I can take you on a mini-tour of Park Slope’s bars if you would like. Just let me know.
P.S.~ The cat, the “healthy” cat, Joe? Yeah, I just talked to the vet. Someone apparently has a thyroid condition and will now have to get a pill twice a day. So much for being the one I didn’t have to worry about. How in the hell did I wind up with all the high maintenance pets in the world???

Going insane because the Yarn Harlot will be in your backyard? What is surprising about that? Of course you’d go insane.
You got some serious cat karma going here. Not sure why, but damn you do.
Vince~Tomorrow I will post about what life with cats is supposed to be like vs. what life with *my* cats actually *is* like. There’s a major difference.
Let’s talk about high maintenence pets!!!! Shall we?
Seriously, are you going to be giving Joe Methimazole tablets? Both my cats had been on that for years and I’ve found that crushing them into a powder and sprinkling it on the food is the easiest way to administer the med.
I agree with Seamus - lets all have that chat about high maintenance pets together!
I give Ally pills with Philadelphia LIGHT cream cheese. Got to keep her girlish figure
Joe will be FINE.
Seamus~That’s exactly what I’m giving Joe. We’ve been doing the pill gun. Both cats are on dry food (for convenience and economic sake), and I don’t want Jess getting Joe’s meds. However this morning when I had to administer one pill to each cat and give Jess his shot, I reconsidered my morning routine to allow for pissed off felines.
Lisa~Aren’t we the lucky ones? No, let me rephrase that, aren’t our PETS the lucky ones to have such nice humans taking care of them?
