On second thought, when I think of having Asshat as a friend and the favors Scooter is going to have to perform to make up for this…well, maybe being someone’s prison bitch is preferable to being someone’s White House bitch.

What makes me even more sick is that I just read on CNN that the shrub is saying he isn’t ruling out a pardon. Oh and the best quote, he made the communtation because he wanted “to maintain faith in the jury system.” WTF??? Who’s faith? The rich, affluent people? Cuz you know no poor working schlep is going to get a deal like Libby. Obviously money talks and bullshit walks.

A sad state of affairs, he’s a lame duck and proves it daily doesn’t he? At least he sucks consistently, wouldn’t you be more suprised if he didn’t?
That so pissed me off. Bush said that the prison sentence was excessive. Personally, I think abuse of power is excessive. But somehow I wasn’t surprised he did it. Now there’s talk of a pardon besides.
So if our Fearless Leader is really concerned about excessive sentances, why isn’t he commuting the 10 year sentance of a person caught with a joint’s worth of marijuana on a first offense? Isn’t that excessive?
Vince~The thing that burned me is that this is the man who has given out so few pardons as President and Governor, who has a very high rate of capital punishment being carried out on his watch, and for Scooter Libby, Asshat decides, “Hmmm, I’ll commute his sentence. Ah, what the hell, maybe I’ll pardon him.” What a fucking crock of shit. But as you said, not surprising in the least.

FD~Oh, we all know that Scooter got the commutation because he was doing favors for Dubya and Darth Cheney and got caught. Way to take one for the team, Scoot! Now we’ll let ya off the hook for it. Gah. Makes me want to puke.

well of course he only commuted him and didnt pardon him. He needs to hold scooter over the coals so he doesnt tell the authorities where the dead bodies are.
