Rick: We could go to Nova Scotia.

Julie: I’d like to go there. And Prince Edward Island.

Rick: I have no interest in going there. It seems too touristy.

Julie: I want to go see the Anne of Green Gables house.

Rick: Wait, that story was on Prince Edward Island?

Julie: Yes…

Rick: I thought that was in France.

Julie: No.

Rick: I thought the movie was just Americanized.

Julie: Dude, Gilbert say “I’m soorry, Anne!” They said “aboot”!

Rick: Oh. Soorry.

I don’t know which one of us comes off stupider in this conversation - Rick for thinking Anne of Green Gables was set in France, or me for my Anne liking.

I think you both qualify as adorable.

Mom and I have been talking about that trip for ages. Want to join us?

Anne of Green Gables RULES!

There is NOTHING wrong with liking AoGG.

(I’ve been trying to think of clever AoGG references to work in here, but all I can think of is bosom buddies, Diana, Gilbert Blythe, and the cake (jam?) she made that was horrid.)

4. brighton - August 18, 2007

Oh too funny! I have to admit that I’d want to see the house too.

5. aimee - August 18, 2007

Yeah, but how can you *NOT* like Anne? So…you’re not stupid. You’re just a fangrrl. ;)

8. Vince - August 19, 2007

Well, seeing that I don’t think there’s much wrong with liking Anne of Green Gables, that only leaves on answer, doesn’t it?

9. grace - August 20, 2007

So long as you’re not in the depths of despair over liking Anne of Green Gables.

10. Julie - August 21, 2007

Grace~No, I’m not. I’m actually quite happy to like Anne spelled with an e.

Vince~You said it, not me. ;)

Fey~Welcome. And thank you. :)

Se7en~You men…*sigh* And I need to come up with a new aside. I got tired of the tweaking/fisting.

Aimee~We have many conversations like that. Equally bizarre.

Brighton~Well what Anne-reader wouldn’t?

KtP~We’re all kindred spirits. :)

Lisa~Depending on when, sure!

Jay~Thank you. We just won’t tell Rick that or he’ll think it’s okay not to know that the book was set on PEI. ;)

I have always wanted to go to The Anne Of Green Gables House, too. And Prince Edward Island is suppossed to be Beeeautiful!!

When MY MOM was pregant with me, she and my father went camping up there and visited The House and My MOM purchased The Complete Set Of Green Gables Books in Fancy Hardcover. I still have them! My MOM was A Big Fan of the series and even gave My Easily Annoyed Sister the middle name, “Blythe” for Gilbert Blythe! It is The One Thing Easily Annoyed Sister has never been Annoyed By.

On a sidenote — God Forbid I should even talk to TAB when he is watching A Yankees Game. I could be sitting there Naked and he wouldn’t Notice Me.

And try The Pinkberry.
