Really? September 27, 2007 ~ 3:39 pm

I just heard a promo for ER on the radio.

1.) ER is still on?

2.) How is that even possible?

3.) Didn’t everyone stop watching when George Clooney left, like I did?

4.) What the fuck season are they on? 80?

5.) Okay, who the hell let John Stamos be on this show? (Yeah, look at the very last entry under “Current” in the Main Cast section.)

Perhaps someone needs to play the role of Dr. Kevorkian and put this show out of its misery.

God, you really are cranky Aren’t you!

This was not cranky. This was funny.

OMG, I asked T-Bird the same thing when she said, “the season premiere of ER is on Thursday.” I’m like - “Huh, it’s still on???”

Perhaps they are really playing in an alternative universe? ;)

I too am amazed that anyone still watches ER. It’s almost like a comic book. No one ever dies.

3) Yes. I did. And I’m everyone.

When The Beach Boys came to town this summer, Uncle Jesse himself was on drums, and the whole concept made me laugh pityingly. Like, what? John Stamos is supposed to be that bridge to the younger gen? Is that the same strategy they’re using for the remiss George Clooney fans on “ER”?

I actually watched “ER” through the Noah Wylie days but then when he went back to Africa with Thandie Newton, puh-lease.

Nanner~Well can you blame us? This is apparently season 14. What show lasts that long?

Seamus~An alternate universe called “Jumped the Shark Several Seasons Ago”?

Vince~I think ER is like cold storage now. You go there, and your career just slows down. And you stay there for a very long time.

Katey~I’m glad we concur on that point. (I like using the word concur.)

Kendra~Well, John does have a good head of hair, much like George did in the days before the Caesar-cut, but other than that I see no similarities. And the whole Noah Wylie/Africa story line? That’s how you get a ratings boost when you need one. Drooping ratings? Bring back Noah!
