Yesterday I was eating a Fun Size Milky Way and noticed a little disclaimer on the wrapper: “May contain nuts.” Wouldn’t that make it a Snickers bar?

Aims~You know I’m right.
They also put the “May contain nuts.” disclaimer on jars of nuts. I think the world has gone off the deep end with disclosures-of-ridiculously-stupid-things-in-order-to-save-our-asses-f rom-being-sued-phenomenon.
They put that on any product made in the same facility where nuts are used in other products so peeps with nut allergies don’t eat them or if they do and then they die its not Milky Way’s fault.
P.S. Traditional nougat is made from nuts, but Milky Way nougat is made of things you’d rather not know.

Grace~I’ve seen that. How stupid are people? Or rather, how quick are people to sue? Remember the chick that sued McDonald’s a few years back because her coffee was hot and it burned her? Duh! Coffee is hot! If it were cold, they’d be marketing it as iced coffee!
Nanner~My thing as that they need to be more specific. “Processed in a facility where nuts are used” is more correct than “May contain nuts.” May contain nuts sounds like it will have entire peanuts in it, and in that case I’m pissed because I don’t like Snickers bars. (btw, what is Milky Way nougat made from? I need to know.)

I used to love Snickers but the dental work I need to get done says that now I love Milky Way. I’d consider an extra nut rather painful but kind of a forbidden love sneaking in the window too.
I didn’t know candy bars came in male and female.
The nougat in most candy bars is made of sucrose and corn syrup and then aerated with egg whites or some kind of soy protein gloop. Nate and I like to watch, “How Things Are Made,” or whatever it is.
