But I’m not, so we will just say that I am up to my ass in alligators right now. I liken commencement season to childbearing: if we remembered how much of a bitch it was last time, we’d never do it again. Especially since I don’t get a cute little kid out of the deal, I just get more work.
On the menu for today: an off campus meeting to review student petitions for exceptions to the rules, trying to get audits done, a student calling me about a degree she is sure she got about 15 years ago that I have no records of, and my favorite, the first day of ticket distribution under the new computerized ticket system.
15 more days and it’s all over. That’s what I have to keep telling myself to get through this. 15 more days.

You need a new job girlie. This one is stressing you out too much. Or at least get in a department where you can be all bureaucratic and make people fill out 18 forms just to talk to you so you can reject their form for a spelling error at the first call.
BTW, I got OMGWTF, but what’s the deal with the barbeque?

Is your school on quarters or semesters? We have a Maymester so real semester shennanigans are over by the 2nd week in May, it’s great! It’s like an earlier summer! Keep on truckin’.

Seth~Semesters with a winter intersession. Tomorrow is the last day of classes, and then we just deal with finals and Commencement, and on lovely lovely May 30, we are in summer session, which is much slower and much nicer. And the frogs were at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. We took my goddaughter there the weekend before last.
