Vince~ I have skinned this thing more times than I can count. Still working on it, but since ESC says I can use the same theme as her, this is the one we’re working with. Now just a matter of getting some decent header images instead of the defaults.

Setting aside time is an excellent idea. It sets limits for me and everyone else: “during this time, I’m unavailable because I’m doing schoolwork.” I’ll give it a shot and see how it goes. I know I’m going to have lots of reading to do, so I need that kind of discipline to cover it!

Am I out of my mind or did you reskin this thing twice already?

Anyway, last semester I took 2 courses. What I really did was carve out “school” time. My program is on line so it’s a little more flexible, but basically Mon-Thurs from about 9 pm to 11 pm was my “school” time on weekends. I took Friday and Saturday off and then carved out whatever time I needed on Sunday depending on what was going on. Some days it was only a couple of hours, others, like when working on a paper, was about 6 to 8 hours. It was really just the discipline to do the work during the hours I set for myself.

I managed to juggle all of that with work and home and got an A in both courses. So it’s doable if you prioritize everything. Let me know if you need tips or just a shoulder to lie on or person to scream at.

Grace~ Layout change still in progress. I’m not liking having to wade through a shitload of code to make this look the way I want to. Also, PEPSUBER!

JessaLu~I thought I was going to get busted taking a picture of that sign, but it was classic and demanded that I take the damn picture already.

Perpstu~The last time I was in grad school, I was working part-time and taking classes full time. It will be interesting to see how I handle doing things the other way around.

Vince~How many classes are you taking per semester while working full time? And how hard is it to do both plus juggle the fam?

Seamus~I *loved* that mini-series. Just brilliant. And David Morse as Washington was dead on!

I’m so glad to have you back! I just can’t get into those short thread types of sites. I don’t get the point of twitter. And I know what you mean by time flying. Grasshopper will be starting middle school next year and Maverick’s a teenager!

Didn’t realize you were a history major! If you need someone to comiserate with, give me a shout. We can compare an MA with an MBA and complain to each other. You want to talk about writing, I wrote close to 50 pages worth of material (some painstakingly researched for MANY hours) for just 2 courses.

Good luck witht the program, I know you’ll do great.

We just watched the John Adams series recently. I think it would be awesome to go back and visit the revolutionary roots again. I think it was in ’82 that I was stomping about the likes of Mount Vernon and Valley Forge.
