The semester ended Wednesday for me when I turned in my final paper of the year (on the evolution of the idea of Heaven in the intellectual texts of Warring States China, because I know you wanted to know). Realistically, aside from a few lovely moments at about 12:30 am on Wednesday when I went a little nuts in the knowledge that I had no more homework to do, it hasn’t hit me. There have been end of the year meetings, Commencement to get through, and I’m going to Pittsburgh for a long weekend tomorrow morning, so there’s still packing to do. There hasn’t really been time to revel in having no homework, or even time to do anything fun because this week has been so damned busy. And tomorrow because I will be up so damned early for the flight, I will probably take a nap in the afternoon before heading to my high school reunion, so the whole day will be shot. Maybe on Sunday, though, I’ll really get a chance to soak it all in.
I hope so, because right now I’m feeling more harassed than anything else. I want to enjoy being on summer vacation, dammit!

[New Post] It doesn’t *feel* like summer vacation yet! – via @twitoaster http://eviljulie.com/archives/1454

Lucky you! My summer vacation doesn’t start for 6 more weeks since I decided to take a class. Enjoy your lack of school work.
Hope your weekend and time in Pittsburgh were fun!
