The practice was immortalized in “High Fidelity” with John Cusack. At any rate, I made Rick a mix CD of songs that made me think of him/us about three months ago. Since the laptop has been living at his house, he decided to do the same for me, and gave it to me this weekend. Among some really beautiful/touching songs was one choice from Def Leppard: “Four Letter Word.” Yes, ladies and gents, with all the great love songs Lep has written over the years, my boyfriend chose the one that ends “Lust can kinda be nice, but it ain’t L-O-V-E!” He cracks me up…
