Dental Insurance February 26, 2004 ~ 3:11 pm

Some one explain to me how my union came to choose what is surely the most worthless dental insurance in the universe? I’ve been a little lax in going to the dentist the past year or so, and so when I went three weeks ago, it wasn’t really a surprise that I needed a couple of fillings. The surprise came when I found out that the fillings, which cost $130 a piece (actually, the one cost $170 because it was a “two-surface” job), weren’t really covered by insurance. By which I mean that the insurance covered a grand total of $8 per filling. Are you freakin’ kidding me? How is this allowed to continue? Wait, I actually know the answer to this one. That deserter in the White House has a bunch of buddies in the insurance business and so it’s in his best interest to let this stupidity continue. I really hope we get him out of office this fall.

In the meantime, my pocketbook as well as my mouth have taken a beating…
