The changes, they are coming. Last night I went to Barnes & Noble.com and ordered an overdue birthday gift. While I was there, I checked out Barnes & Noble University, which is absolutely free (the books cost money, the classes don’t). And I hit on a course called Writing Fiction with the Gotham Writers’ Workshop. And I signed up for it. I’ve got nothing to lose, and it might get some creative juices going. I’m a writer, it’s time to use that part of me. I also signed up for a Backyard Stargazing course, just for kicks. For years I’ve wanted to know more constellations than Orion and the Big Dipper, so I’m going to learn. Small, baby steps, but steps to connecting with the parts of me I’ve been neglecting because it’s easier to come home from work and veg than do anything.
It’s a start.

Good for you! I too am looking for things that peak my interest so that my summer is filled with more than after-work naps.

I took some Mediabistro workshops a couple months back — they cost about $60, but they’re very informative and fun. Now I’ll have to check out BNU.

I love stargazing! It’s the best! Yeay on the courses…when I was there I always thought about the leaning annex but was too lazy to get off my ass to do that.

Don’t you just *love* BNU? I found them about 9 months ago, and I’ve been telling everyone I can about them because they’re so great. I’m *LOVING* my dream interpretation one that I’m doing right now. You should definitely check it out next time it comes around. Definitely worth it.
I’m also hoping to take some more classes at the Atlantian Mystery School (where I took the Tarot 101 class) and improve my metaphysical skills.
Enjoy the classes, and keep looking at them, as they change every 8 weeks.
