A glimpse of the future August 23, 2006 ~ 11:53 am
Posted by Julie in : Coupledom, Rick, Shorty , trackbackLast night Rick and I sat around watching some of the collection of crap that has accumulated on my TiVo in the past week. We watched a two hour special about UFOs that was hosted by Peter Jennings (instant credibility, just at Jennings!), and then Rick said I could pick the next show to watch. I picked Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels. (Shut UP, it’s a good show.)
Rick: So they’re married?
Julie: No. They’ve been together for 23 years, but they’re not married. But they have two kids.
Rick: Hmmm.
Julie: It’s like looking at our future.
Rick: Well, you can forget the mansion. That ain’t gonna happen.

So is Rick going to sleep with 3000 women between now and then?
And you don’t want a mansion. Too much maintenance. Now a nice cottage on the beach, now you’re talking.
Vince~Yes, and I will be Playmate of the Year.
I might check out Family Jewels if it makes it to DVD. Until I get a cable box in the bedroom I won’t be able to catch it all the time.
Sorry about the mansion thing.
So is that show good? Are the kids atrocious and spoiled? I saw an ad for that in some magazine. I’ve always liked Shannon Tweed (obviously) and he’s Gene Freakin’ Simmons.
Post about NY food is up at my site. Could be worth a trip if you like Hispanic food.
Serra~Very worth checking out. It’s surreal in a way, but cool.
Seth~Yeah, I was bummed about the mansion, too. The show is great, and the kids are very normal. I was listening to a radio interview with Gene last week and he said that he’s always expected his kids to be responsible and bring home good grades, and they are very down to earth. As opposed to those Osbourne kids.
