Law & Order (no, I don’t know which version) is filming on our campus this week. We’re a gated campus that doesn’t look like a city college (in other words, we’ve got a nice quad), so things film here all the time – movies, TV shows, and more Law & Orders than I can count – because it’s cheaper than paying for everyone to film outside the city. In one month this summer, Sarah Jessica Parker (short) and Chris Noth (hawt!) were both on campus, filming for separate things.
At any rate, sometimes things on campus get set dressing to make them look more like whatever fictional campus they’re supposed to be. For instance, today there is a completely fictional information booth sitting in the center of the quad. The best part, however, was when I realized that the building I work in is now posing as a chapel, complete with sign. Today, this Wiccan works in a church. HA!

I like being around film sets like that. When I worked at Harvard, we turned down nearly every request from film crews. So folks who want to make films that supposedly take place at Harvard go to Toronto or Tennessee or somewhere to fake a Harvard campus.

They filmed a movie on my college campus while I was there- I think it was called “Ghost” ( no- not the one with Demi!) I got to meet Fred Astaire!
One of my friends actually had a speaking part in it- and I was in the classroom shot- for about 3 seconds lol!

Vince~I’ve been on TV before, generally in crowd scenes. Once I was at a nuclear protest rally with Martin Sheen, though, and that was on the news. Because of Martin Sheen, not me.
Foundme~None on campus, because we’re gated, but in the last two weeks there have been two shootings in the neighborhood. This would be why we’re gated. It’s not a great neighborhood.

thats hilarious, though if they can turn offices into churches for TV, no one should have a problem when they turn a church into a restaurant for real.
