Weekend update February 20, 2007 ~ 10:43 am
Posted by Julie in : About a Julz, Random Insanity , trackbackThings that I did this weekend:
-Went to Rick’s niece’s wedding in Delaware, remembered most of the responses to the Catholic mass, and danced a storm.
-Slept for 15 consecutive hours when we got back. That was nice.
-Woke up to my ceiling fixture dripping on me. That was not so nice. Fortunately, I caught it right at the beginning and thus far, nothing has been ruined. Today’s downright balmy temps (41* at the moment) mean that maybe the repair guy (whose name is Butchie, and no, I am NOT kidding) can get up on the roof and patch it. He couldn’t before because it was frozen. Good times.
-Dragged my mattress (okay, I helped Rick drag it) into the living room and slept on the floor in front of the TV Sunday night and last night. I’m getting used to being able to watch TV until I fall asleep. I also have that new carpet smell in my nostrils all night.
-Spent a lovely day with Jordana yesterday where we not only went bead shopping for our fledgeling business (hopefully Savvy Brooklyn will be up and running for your buying pleasure next weekend) but also visited the Clinique counter at Bloomingdale’s in Soho. I like getting makeovers.
-Spent a very large amount of time with Rick over the course of the weekend as well. He looks damn good in a suit and he encouraged me to dance like an idiot to “I Wanna Be Sedated.” He also brought me a big garbage can to catch my roof leak in. I love him completely.
-Got two tickets to see the Police at Madison Square Garden on August 1. Tickets sold out for both MSG shows in 14 minutes, so I am ecstatic. I get to see THE POLICE!!!

Comments
I get to see the police all the time. They tell me once more and “somethingsomething your reign of terror is over somethingsomething.”
WHATEVER
I would have a hard time not picturing Scrantonicity while listening to the Police.
Screw your balmy temps! Pbblt!
PIBs was really hoping he would get to see The Police (I was going to be forced to go along - not that I would put up a struggle) but when he found out they weren’t going to be anywhere within driving distance, that kind of blew that plan all to hell.
I did tell him that you got tickets, however, just because I’m mean like that. He said that YOU SUCK! lol
I saw the Police WAAAAY back when they were still together the first time. If the show you see is even half as good, you’re in for an awesome show!
Aims~I cannot WAIT. This is going to be kickass.
FD~There’s an announcement at 5 today, my guess is that they’ll be adding more shows since the sellout happened so quickly. Maybe they’ll add one near you?
Tot~It’s 47* here. Sorry. NOT.
Retro~Watch out, NYC cops are the same ones that break up Critical Mass ridings and put the RNC protestors in nasty holding areas that gave them cancer. Or something. They are mean.
Sounds like much fun had by all. Congrats on remembering most of the Catholicstenics required in a mass.
I’m tempted to try and see the Police. They’re coming to Toronto which wouldn’t be too bad. I’ll have to see.
Hopefully Butchie will fix things quick.
Lucky.
The Police are coming here July 2, (St. Louis) I want to get my hubby tickets, he has every CD. But he doesn’t want to go
sounds like fun, Delaware is alot nicer then people think it is. And we no can not sleep without the TV, so be careful
I’m jealous. I’d love to see the Police. Haven’t heard of them coming to this side of the country, but I’m keeping my ears and eyes open.
knowing my luck, they’ll announce a date and tickets will go on sale the same day rent is due and I won’t be able to get them and they’ll be sold in like 2 seconds flat… Enjoy and think of me when you go to the concert.
Think you could sneak me in by putting me in a big drum or something? Dang, I’d love to see the Police.
I was wondering how DE was…but I was told not to ask.
