So this horrendous thing is what the cat and I killed last night. Look at it. Don’t you just want to run screaming from the room? I know I did.
What’s the preventative for these? Dehumidify. Guess I gotta get that portable airconditioner right quick (I have one window in my apartment, and it won’t fit a regular air conditioner, dammit). Anyone know of any good ones?
In the meantime, I will be spraying down the house with the Ortho bug spray I bought at lunch. Says “Use with confidence around food, children & pets” on the label, so I guess it’s okay to use around the cats. Wish me luck…I know everything says these suckers are harmless, but if you had ever had one drop into the bathtub with you when you were a child (like I did), you’d see why I have to eliminate them at all costs.

Posted by Julie in : Daily Grind , comments closedAs I’m sitting here at possibly the most stressful day of my job this year (I’ll post more about this over the weekend…it’s long and detailed and I have to figure out how much stupidity I can talk about without getting myself in trouble - don’t want to pull a Dooce or SJ!), I hear on the radio:
“Hi! This is Joe Elliott, and if you’re listening to Def Leppard in New York City, you must be listening to Q104.3. And I think we need more cowbell!” which intro’d “Photograph”.
