So I decided I wanted something a little more summery looking as my blog pic. This photo was taken from Queen’s Made In Heaven album, the last one Freddie Mercury worked on before his death. And while it can be a bit depressing if you look at it too long, and read a lot of symbolism into the picture, it isn’t birch trees in winter. So there we go.

Spent yesterday with Rick and the kids. We made a trip down to the KMart by Penn Station to buy camp chairs, just in case we go see fireworks tonight. The fireworks will go up on the East River, and you have to claim a spot in the afternoon if you want to see them. But we might end up watching them on TV, instead. The girls are both jet lagged, and the younger one was running a fever yesterday. The fever is gone this morning, but we’ll see how she’s doing a little later in the day.

Off to find some allergy medicine - my nose has been running since I work up this morning, and I’ve had about enough of it. So Happy 4th of July to everyone, and Happy Birthday to my aunt Eileen (even though she doesn’t read this…I don’t think.)!
