Cat in a box. Do not attempt to adjust your screen. He really is that big.

Well, the new year is off to a rip-roaring start. You know what I’ve done today? Watched a shitload of football, that’s what. GO STEELERS! My boys have a 15-1 record for the regular season, the first AFC team to do so. The sad part for Buffalo is that they lost not only to a bunch of second-stringers, but to Tommy Maddox. He sucks. And the other three teams I was rooting for won, too, just like I said they would: New Orleans, Seattle, and San Diego. Oh, and the Jets lost, although they’re still in the playoffs. It’s been a good football day.

Other than that, the only productive thing I’ve done is get about 1/3 of Rick’s scarf knitted. It’s merino and should be nice and warm for his trips to Massachusetts, if nothing else. I’ll take a picture before I give it to him so you can all check it out.

I was going to do a post about how it seems like half of Blogdom is shutting down for a while (ahem, Sloth, Dastard, Michael, Lovisa) but my momentum got interrupted by a phone call two phone calls that knocked me offline, so that one’s either on hold or sidelined. Let’s just say that I’m saddened that everyone is going on hiatus, and I hope they decide they miss us soon and come back. Otherwise who will keep me entertained while I’m at work?

I’ve totally lost my focus, so I’m ending this with a shout-out to the Giants, who just got a touchdown with 11 seconds left in the game and beat the Cowboys. Go, Eli! Who the hell would’ve thunk that?
