So Lori and I are emailing back and forth, as per our usual workday routine, and I’m telling her all the cool things I have patterns to knit now. I mention that I have a pattern for a bikini with lightning bolts on the tits. This is what followed:

Lori: A bikini out of yarn? You could be a super hero.
Julie: Yeah. Like Wonder Woman, but not. Yarn Girl!
Lori: Titty Bolt!
Julie: Yes! That will be my superhero nickname! Titty Bolt! Titty Bolt the Avenger!!
Lori: Fire will come out of your nips.
Julie: Beware the flaming nips! All hail Titty Bolt the Avenger!

What can I say? It’s Friday.

Prospect Park, Brooklyn

I just ate a turkey and cheddar Lunchable. It was a little treat I bought myself, and it made me really happy. How sad is that? But it was good.

Rick just emailed me from my other email address. I saw an email pop up with my name as the sender and thought “Shit, I have a virus?” Then I remembered he has the laptop. It almost makes me wish he had email all the time - it’s nice being able to chat while I’m at work.

Speaking of Rick and the laptop, I’m running out of pictures to put at the tops of posts, because I use the laptop (and its cool little photo-editing toys) to get my pictures on-line. I brought the digicam, so hopefully I’ll get more uploaded tonight when I see him (and the laptop). Otherwise, it’s going to be a dry photo week for you all.

I finished his scarf!! I’ll take pictures tonight, that way you get to see my lovely knitting and my lovely boyfriend. That last is mostly for Kate the Peon, who requested a picture of him. Oh, and a woman who works in another office and gives me pointers occasionally stopped by and said it looks great. She knows her stuff, so that made me happy. Now a small project for a friend, and then onto my devil cap. I’m stopping by the yarn store tonight to get some red yarn for it and a set of circular needles.

And now it’s lunchtime, but since I already ate my lunch, I’m going to go knit and do some crosswords. Seriously, sometimes I think I’m turning into an old person, if this is my idea of fun.
